At Run Hélico, the experience begins the moment you arrive, with a warm and friendly welcome.

During your flight, our pilots share their knowledge of the island through personalized commentary and genuine conversation, so you can discover Réunion Island in a whole new way.

Our company puts quality, closeness and authenticity first, so that every flight remains a unique moment.

Much more than scenic flights

Run Hélico works across the various helicopter professions in Réunion Island: aerial work in the heart of the cirques, skydiver drops and pilot training, with the island’s first helicopter flight school.

At Run Hélico, quality matters more than quantity… and our passengers say it best.

Guy Payet, your pilot

Passionate about helicopters and about Réunion Island, Guy Payet has been sharing his experience with the same enthusiasm for many years.

In 2003, he founded one of the first helicopter flight schools in Réunion Island, driven by the ambition of making training accessible to as many people as possible. Since then, he has guided and trained many pilots, some of whom are now professionals and instructors.

A true connoisseur of his island, he will show you Réunion Island from the sky, its spectacular landscapes and its hidden treasures, while sharing his experience and his stories with you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best season for a scenic flight?
Every season offers a different experience… and Réunion Island can be discovered from the sky all year round!
From December to March, the austral summer brings more showers, which can sometimes limit flight opportunities. In return, the tropical rains feed the island’s many waterfalls and create particularly spectacular landscapes.
During the austral winter, the weather is generally drier and the light is often exceptional, allowing you to admire the island’s relief in superb conditions.
What happens in case of bad weather?
The weather in Réunion Island can change quickly. That is why our pilots check the weather conditions every morning before the first flights, to guarantee a quality flight and your safety.
Depending on the conditions of the day, we may suggest adjusting the route to give you the best possible experience, focusing on the areas with the best visibility.
If the shortened tour does not meet your expectations, we will offer to postpone your flight
Which tour lets me see it all?
The Grandiose is our longest tour, designed to reveal the full diversity of the landscapes of Réunion Island.
It takes you over the Three Cirques, the Trou de Fer, Takamaka and the Grand Étang, the Bébour and Bélouve forests, the Piton de la Fournaise, the Wild South and the lagoon of Saint-Pierre.
A true concentrate of the Intense Island, from the mountains down to the lagoon.
What is the difference between “THE GRANDIOSE” and “THE COMPLETE”?

Both scenic flights cover the essential beauties of Réunion Island. “The Grandiose” lasts 10 minutes longer than “The Complete”, and those extra minutes in the air allow us to show you the TAKAMAKA gorges and the Grand Étang. These two sites are truly spectacular but located quite far to the east of Réunion Island; they are well worth the detour and fully justify the difference in price. In any case, each flight is a unique experience that you will never forget!

What kind of view will I have depending on my seat in the helicopter?
Our Airbus H125 helicopters are specially configured to offer excellent visibility to every passenger.
The rear seats are raised above the front seats, allowing everyone to fully enjoy the landscapes and a panoramic view throughout the flight.
For safety reasons and for the balance of the aircraft, seating on board is determined according to passenger weight.
Whatever your seat, the configuration of our helicopters and the experience of our pilots will let you make the most of the spectacular landscapes of Réunion Island.
Can I fly in a helicopter with my children?
Yes, children are welcome on board our helicopters, whatever their age.
  • Under 2 years old: the flight is free. The child travels on an adult’s lap with a suitable safety device.
  • From 2 to 11 years old: a child fare applies. The child has their own seat and a booster seat can be provided.
We do not recommend flying with very young children, particularly under 3 to 4 years old, as they can be more sensitive to changes in altitude and to ear pressure.
